Overview

Harsco Rail’s Track Stabilizer, Model TS-30, stabilizes the track by inserting controlled and accurate force directly into the track structure. The operator has the ability to set the desired down-feed pressure for each rail and the machine maintains that constant pressure until the operator changes it.

Performance

Frame: High strength boxed beam welded steel construction. Computer designed and analyzed for stress and deflection. Derail protection skids

Engine: Cummins QSB tier 4 6.7 liter, 6 cylinder liquid cooled, turbocharged and charge air cooled diesel, 300BHP (224kW) @ 2200 RPM

Travel Speed: Up to 80 km/h (50 mph) travel speed

Wheels and Brakes: 28 in. (711 mm) diameter single-wear solid steel wheels mounted on heavy duty solid railroad type axles. Air operated, tread type brakes featuring Cobraâ, high friction, composition shoes acting on each wheel. Spring applied, air released secondary brake operation provides automatic brake actuation in case of air pressure loss.

Electrical System: 24 VDC with a 175 amp alternator

Hydraulic System: Variable displacement piston pumps fixed displacement gear pumps, 24 VDC solenoid operated valves

Air System: The engine mounted air compressor can produce up to 28 SCFM depending on speed and turbo boost pressure. The nominal operating pressure is 100 psi

Other Features

Cab: Large, fully enclosed and climatized, mounted on air bags, accessible from either side of the machine via a rear platform and rear entry door

Options: Dual cab configuration available, Track gauge recording system, AAR Couplers, UIC hooks and Buffers, Train line brakes
